Episode 10: Cotter Ellis!
Bub & Pop | Episode 10: Cotter Ellis (recorded February 28, 2026)
Our guest this week is Cotter Ellis, drummer in the band Goose. We caught up while he was in Ardmore for a run with Everyone Orchestra. (I reviewed the show here.)

Super nice guy – very thoughtful and very much a musician's musician. It was interesting to hear about the career he'd built prior to joining Goose – and then, when the Batphone rang, he was ready. We talk about his experiences in the band, both as a five-piece and now a four-piece, as well as some contemporaries and friends of his in the scene. He also geeks out on Frank Zappa drummers – something I always enjoy.
It's been a minute since we've released an episode, but Producer Tedd and I have been hard at work recording more conversations and preparing to release and share them with you all. During that time, I attended Tonewood 10 Island Jam, featuring a number of past guests on the show (Anton Milioti, Kanika Moore, Jonathan Colman), as well as some future guests we're excited to tell you about in the coming weeks. (Relix review forthcoming.)
Producer Tedd and I also were in Woodstock recently for a Daniel Donato/Grahame Lesh acoustic duo show that was absolutely amazing! (Relix review also forthcoming.) We also recorded a few conversations up there that we're super excited to share.

- Sleep With Me - if this podcast doesn't put you to sleep, I'm not sure what will. (My buddy Scoots and I did a crossover episode together here.)
