Our guest this week is Cotter Ellis, drummer in the band Goose. We caught up while he was in Ardmore for a run with Everyone Orchestra. (I reviewed the show here.)

Super nice guy – very thoughtful and very much a musician's musician. It was interesting to hear about the career he'd built prior to joining Goose – and then, when the Batphone rang, he was ready. We talk about his experiences in the band, both as a five-piece and now a four-piece, as well as some contemporaries and friends of his in the scene. He also geeks out on Frank Zappa drummers – something I always enjoy.
It's been a minute since we've released an episode, but Producer Tedd and I have been hard at work recording more conversations and preparing to release and share them with you all. During that time, I attended Tonewood 10 Island Jam, featuring a number of past guests on the show (Anton Milioti, Kanika Moore, Jonathan Colman), as well as some future guests we're excited to tell you about in the coming weeks.
