Episode 2: Kanika Moore!

An audio-first version of this podcast is available here.
Hi everyone – thanks so much to everyone who has liked, subscribed, engaged on social media, etc. – it means a lot!
I'm coming off a busy few weeks of music, and that's not showing signs of changing. I'm headed to Japan next week for vacation – mostly...very long story short, the trip will include a brief side adventure that directly relates to a recent assignment I'm SUPER excited about. This will be the biggest publication I've written for to date – have been trying to write for them for years! – and the biggest artist I'll work with directly...could not be any more excited, stay tuned for more there!
Had a great conversation this week with Kanika Moore about the music of Grateful Dead, her work with Doom Flamingo, TAUK, and Everyone Orchestra, and a forthcoming solo release. I really enjoyed our talk and hope you do too!
Since our last episode, I've reviewed an album, a show, and a film:
- Mumford & Sons' latest album, Prizefighter [Relix]
- the Barr Brothers' show at Underground Arts [Relix]
- Occupational Hazard, a new documentary about the first iteration of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band - this is required viewing for any fans of Jimmy's or anyone who likes a good music documentary! [Glide]
